Buy X get Y promotions can motivate new customers to buy your products and act as a reward for loyal customers. You can use them to increase your sales and profits and to sell slow moving inventory.

To avail this discount, customers need to buy a specified quantity of products to get the discount or need to spend a specified amount of money to get the discount. The discount can be either free products or a percentage off of the price of products.

Creating Discount

1. Choose the Discounts menu and then the Buy X Get Y sub menu.

2. Click Add Discount button.

   

3. Enter the basic information like Title and description.

4. Enter the restriction value, Total usage limits(number of times promo code can be used), and the usage limit per customer(number of times promo code can be used by a single customer).

5. Enable the Enable toggle to allow the customers to avail of the discounts.

   

6. In the Customer Buys section, specify whether the discount applies to Specific product or specific category and choose the corresponding products/categories respectively. Enter the quantity the customer needs to buy to be eligible to avail this discount. Click on Add Product to add more products.

7. In the Customer Gets section, specify whether the customer will get a Specific product or specific category and choose the corresponding products/categories respectively. Enter the percentage off value.

8. In the schedule section, enter the dates from/till which the offer is valid. If the coupon needs to be valid for one day, give the same dates in both fields.

9. In the Customer eligibility section, you can choose which type of customer these discounts will be applicable to. Discounts can be made available to all, certain customer groups, certain roles or certain customers.

10. Finally, click the Save Discount button to save the changes.

Edit/view/Remove/Delete Discounts

1. Choose the Discounts menu and then Manual Discounts.

2. Click on the edit icon to change existing offers.

   

3. Click on the Time icon to view the discount history.

   

4. Click on the Close icon to deactivate the discount.

5. Click on the Delete icon to remove the offer.

6. Click Save Discount to save the changes.

How does an offer work?

When there are active offers, the discounts are listed in the Available Offers section on the checkout page. For example, When a customer buys Basmati Brown Rice, he gets a 5% off on Coriander powder. All they need to do is click on the Claim Button.

When the discount is claimed, the discount amount or percentage is deducted from the subtotal and now the subtotal is deducted.
