Update product quantity in ZenBasket

When an admin wants to restock products in the inventory it can be done in two cases viz., in case it reaches the ‘low stock’ index or add products to existing stock. Update Quantity helps the store owner to add or set product quantity. Add option helps to add a defined quantity to the existing number of products. The set option helps to redefine a new quantity for a product. So whatever number is entered in the Set will replace the existing quantity.

  1. In the Products menu, Select the Inventory sub-menu.
  2. Select the Location from the drop-down menu. It filters the product list based on the location.
  3. Enter the product name or SKU in the search bar and click the search icon 🔍.
  4. Click on the 🖉 icon against the product Name to update the quantity.

  5. Enter the quantity in the Pop-up window.

  6. Update the quantity by clicking on the “Add” button. This option allows you to add a specific number of products to the already existing quantity. For example, the existing quantity for Nutella is 10, and if you need to add 30 more, you can enter 30 and click Add. This action updates the quantity of Nutella to 40(10+30).

The quantity of the product which was 10 is incremented by 30 i.e, 40.

  7. If a new quantity is to be updated, the Set option can be used. This option allows you to set an entirely new value for quantity irrespective of the existing count of a product. For example, if the quantity of a product needs to be 55, enter 55 to the quantity and click Set. This updates the quantity of the product to 55. Enter the quantity in the Pop-up window.

  8. Update the quantity by clicking on Set.

  9. The quantity can be set to infinity by clicking on the ‘Set as infinity’ checkbox. Click on the ‘Unstock’ checkbox to set the quantity to 0.
