Product Report gives data insights into how fast items are selling and which products are making the most money. This report also lets the store owner track the revenue generated by different products over a period of time. This helps to compare the sales of products in the same period of different years(say Jan ’09 vs. Jan ’10) or track their yearly trend(entire 2009 vs. entire 2010). The product report lets you determine which items are worth investing in and which ones shouldn’t be re-ordered.

  1. Helps determine the most profitable products

    • Improve the sales and marketing activities in order to support the products that present the greatest opportunities for future growth.
    • If an item is increasing in sales, make sure the inventory is accurately stocked across all sales channels.

  2. Helps determine the slow-moving products

    • Allocate resources more efficiently, prevent over-stocking and cut holding costs(costs associated with storing unsold inventory).
    • If the item decreases in sales, decide on whether it’s time to lower the price, pump more into marketing or add discounts to push up its popularity.

Product Report in ZenBasket

The product report in the Dashboard shows a list of products, the quantity sold and the revenue generated from the sales of each product.

To view the product report

  1. In the Dashboard menu, Click the Products Report.

  2. If your store is managed across multiple locations, Choose the location for which the report is to be generated.

  3. Choose a time interval for which the report is to be generated. Set the From and To dates. Choose the same date in the ‘From’ and ‘To’ dates in case a report is to be generated for a single day.

  4. Click on the Export button after choosing the time interval and the location, to download the CSV file for future reference. The CSV file contains the details of products sold in a particular location for a specific time interval. The details include Product name, Quantity and Amount.
