At the time of order, if an item is out of stock it can be put on the waiting list by the customer by requesting to be notified. Waitlisted items will come back into stock in the near future. As soon as the waitlisted items come back in stock, the customers are notified via email after which they can place an order.

How to notify customers when products are restocked?

The Out-of-Stock items are added to the Waiting list whenever a customer clicks on the Notify Me button on the product page.

  1. In the Products menu, choose the Waiting list sub-menu.
  2. After a customer clicks the ‘Notify Me’ button, the out-of-stock product names are listed with the status ‘Not Notified’ on the waiting list page.

  3. Click on the Eye icon under Actions to view and edit the product stock details.

  4. Click Save to save the changes made.

  5. Click on the Filter icon to filter the waiting list based on location, mail status and date range.

  6. As soon as the stock details are saved an email gets delivered to your customer informing them about the restocking of the product they have requested for. Then the Status changes to ‘Notified’.

  7. The mail notifies the customer about the stock change. It also consists of a link that leads customers to visit the store and make a purchase.
