Whenever customers shop online, they submit their personal information such as their name, email, address, birth date, credit card information, bank data, navigation history, browsing preferences, etc. And that’s why when a customer trusts the store with their personal information it is very important to make sure that their data is secure.

A Terms and Conditions agreement is a contract that spells out exactly what the legal relationship is between the store and the consumer. A good Terms and Conditions agreement allows a store owner to legally define and enforce the rules the customers must follow to interact with and make purchases from the online store. Return policies are the rules a retailer creates to manage how customers return and exchange unwanted merchandise they purchased. A return policy tells customers what items can be returned and for what reasons, as well as the timeframe over which returns are accepted.

In order to make an online store more legally compliant and to provide the customers with helpful information on the products and services, it is important to display information on the terms of service, privacy policy, shipping, and payment, return policy, etc. This legal information and policies can be added to the home page of the online store as clickable links at the bottom of the online store.

  1. In the Settings menu, choose the Legal Forms sub-menu.

  2. Use the text editor to add content to the legal pages. Admin can also add style and formatting to the policies, and add links and images.

  3. Similarly, add content to the Privacy policy in the text editor provided.

  4. Similarly, add content to the Return policy in the text editor provided.

  5. Click Update to save the changes.
