ZenBasket Admin allows store owners to add products with details including names, descriptions, categories, images, brands, prices and a lot more.

1. Product Name

The name is just the title given to the product. When you name a product it should automatically let the user think about the features of the product. The product name is displayed below the product image and the character limit is 250.

Example: a 24-litre ABC Backpack for travel.

2. Description

The description provides detailed information about the product. It explains the product features, advantages or specifications. When customers search for a particular product, they go through the images and then move to the description part to know the complete details. An exclusive inbuilt editor allows the admin to format paragraphs, add images, videos and links, change text color, size and font, create lists and tables, and much more. Always write a catchy description with popular keywords to rank better in search engines.

  • Avoid long and complex sentences.
  • Provide the short and long versions of your description.
  • Never forget to mention its benefits and features.
  • Be smart with SEO keywords and content.

3. Product Image

A snapshot of a product can provide more relevant information than paragraphs of text. The ZenBasket admin is allowed to upload images of a particular product either from their local drive or choose from the ZenBasket gallery managed by the team. Upload images with minimum resolution of 400 px width & 400px height.

Tips while uploading images

  • Use images of the same size for every product.
  • High-quality images are recommended.
  • Try to use original product images.

4. Category

A product category refers to groups of products that offer similar benefits. The idea is to categorize your products as a part of a group. Categories help the admin to organize products in a way that is easy for visitors to find out what they’re looking for. Every product must be assigned at least one category.

5. Pricing

Price is the amount of money the customer has to pay for a product. ZenBasket admin provides 3 options for pricing: price(per unit), wholesale pricing, and cost comparison.

  1. Price represents the amount per unit of the product.
  2. Wholesale pricing applies when bulk order is placed. Wholesalers can buy products at a much lower price than a normal customer. To avail of wholesale prices, customers must have a wholesaler account.
  3. Cost comparison - When a cost compare price is entered, it is displayed as a strikethrough price above the sale price(current price). This acts as a reference so that the customer knows how much he/she saved by availing of this offer.

6. Weight Unit/Weight count

Weight Unit denotes the weight of a product. ZenBasket provides a lot of weight units to choose from, like, lb, oz, count, gal, box, pack, case, serving, etc.

Example: Apple Fruit Juice 16.9 oz is a product, here oz refers to the weight unit.

Weight Count When a product is added to the cart, a customer needs to specify the number of products to be ordered. Weight Count is a number from which the quantity begins at the storefront when a customer adds the product to the cart. Quantity can start as low as 0.25 or 1.

Example: Weigh count = 0.25. For vegetables and fruits, the quantity to start with can be 0.25, and if a customer clicks on the add button twice, the count will become 0.50.

7. Product Ribbons

Ribbons are colored horizontal labels that are displayed on product thumbnails and product details pages in your store. Product ribbons are used to highlight featured products on the storefront, whether it’s a bestseller, sale item, new product, or any other item that deserves a spotlight. Any text can be put on ribbons like “Bestseller”, “30% Off”, “New”, “Festival offer” or “Free Shipping”.

8. Replace /Remove

When the Replace/Remove option is enabled, and the ordered product is unavailable, a customer can ask for a similar product as a replacement. Customers will see this option at checkout and can make a choice between Don’t Replace and Replace Item.

Example: if a user had chosen Replace option and ordered an Atta of ‘ABC’ brand which is unavailable at that moment, a replacement of ‘XYZ’ brand Atta will be delivered.

9. Shipping

  • This Product Requires Shipping or Pickup - Enable this option if the product needs to be delivered to customers either via shipping or by self-pickup.
  • Weight and Dimensions - Specify the product’s weight and dimensions to obtain precise carrier-calculated shipping rates for your customers.
  • Shipping Rates - Shipping rates will be calculated based on the delivery method chosen by the admin. For example, Use global rates, Free shipping, and Fixed-rate per item. Delivery methods are enabled/Disabled by the admin in the Shipping settings.
  • Taxes - Taxes are manually calculated according to the Tax Settings. Taxes can be applied to all products or specific products can be excluded from being taxed.

10. Stock & Availability

Stock or inventory denotes the number of products available. Managing inventory helps the store owner to track the availability of products and also view products of low stock. Stock can be specified as an exact quantity or infinity(products that never go out of stock).

Stock can be maintained across multiple locations.

The SKU(Stock Keeping Unit) and UPC(Universal Product Code) are unique identifiers that give easy identification of products.

11. Product Options and variants

  • Options – It helps in providing different options for a product. Example: Color and Size

  • Variants – Variations are combinations of various options. Example: Red L. Blue XL

12. Shipping Rates

Shipping rates will be calculated based on the delivery method chosen by the admin. For example, Use global rates, Free shipping, Fixed-rate per item. Delivery methods are enabled/Disabled by the admin in the Shipping settings.

13. Modifiers

Modifiers are used to easily add modifications to a Product. For example, a Pizza item can have toppings like Onions, Capsicum, Jalapenos, Chilis, Paneer etc.\

14. Product Specifications

Product specifications provide detailed and technical information about a product that helps shoppers make informed purchasing decisions, especially those with technical requirements such as size, weight, power, and compatibility with other equipment.

15. SEO

Details like Page title, search keywords and meta description help your site rank higher on google.

16. Open Graph sharing

OGS allows you to control what image, title, and description are displayed when sharing links on social media.
