Product Subscription

ZenBasket’s product subscription feature allows businesses to set up a system where customers can subscribe to receive a product regularly, on a daily, monthly, or weekly basis. This creates a reliable stream of income for the business while providing a convenient and consistent experience for customers who no longer need to make repeated purchases manually.

How to Purchase Subscription Plugin

  1. Go to the Plugins menu and search for the Subscription plugin in the plugins list page.

  2. Click on the Buy Now button to purchase the plugin.

  3. Select the plan and click the Purchase Now button.

  4. View the plugin plan details and click on the Pay Now button.

  5. Choose a payment option and click Continue.

  6. Upon successful payment, the plugin will be purchased and activated.

  7. To upgrade the plan, click on the Change Plan button.

  8. Once the Subscription plugin is activated, click on the Set Up icon to configure the plugin.

  9. Enable the Product Subscription Plugin toggle icon to display it on the website.

  10. After enabling it, you will see checkbox options like: Basic Product Count, Skip Subscription, Cancel Subscription and Reactivate Subscription.

  11. After selecting the checkboxes of your preference, click Save to update the plugin.

How to Configure Subscription Settings

  1. Go to the Settings menu.

  2. In the Business Settings, select the Subscription Settings option.

  3. Select the Delivery Frequency from the dropdown menu.

  4. Enter the discount details for customer subscriptions, including: Quantity from Range, Quantity to Range and Discount Rate in Percentage.

    Note: These Discounts are applicable only to customer made subscription

  5. Click on the Add Discount Range button to add more discount ranges.

  6. Click on the Delete icon to remove a discount range.

  7. Click on the Update button to save the subscription settings.

How to Add a Product to a Subscription

  1. In Store Admin, go to the Products menu and select the All Products submenu.

  2. When adding a new product in Store Admin, check the box labeled Add this product for subscription.

  3. In the Storefront, the customer will see the product with the Subscribe & Save Big button. Customers can purchase a subscription plan only if they are signed in to their account.

  4. When clicking the Subscribe & Save Big button, the customer will see the Delivery Frequency dropdown options to select.

  5. Click on the Add to Cart button to move the product to the subscription cart.

  6. During the checkout process, customers can adjust the Delivery Frequency for their items.

    Note: The discount settings configured in Store Admin will apply to the storefront cart page.

  7. Click the Checkout button and enter the necessary details to complete the order.

  8. Customers can change the delivery address for upcoming orders or contact the store admin to change the address for verified orders.

  9. After successfully checking out and purchasing the subscription product, the customer will be directed to the My Subscription tab, and the product will be added to the subscription plan list.

  10. Customers can cancel their subscription anytime by clicking the Cancel Subscription button located on the Subscription Plan List page.

  11. The customer can view subscription details by clicking the View Details button.

  12. The customer will see details such as Upcoming Orders and Processed Orders:

    • Processed Orders: Includes details like Order ID, Order Details, Payment Status, Order Fulfillment, Ordered Date, Shipment Type, Next Payment Date, and Actions. Customers can click the view icon under the Actions section to view the processed order details.

    • Upcoming Orders: Includes details like Ordered Date, Shipment Type, Order Fulfillment, Next Payment Date, and Actions.

  13. Under the Actions section for upcoming orders, the customer will have three options:

    • View Subscription Details: The customer can view subscription order details and subscribed product details.

    • Immediate Order: Customers can place an immediate order for subscription products from the Subscription Orders page by clicking the Cart button under the Actions tab. The checkout process for immediate orders is the same as the regular checkout process.

    • Skip Order: By clicking the Skip button, customers can choose to skip their next upcoming order if they wish to do so.

Product Subscription Module in Storeadmin

Subscribed Plan

  1. Navigate to the Product Subscription main menu and select the Subscribed Plans submenu.

  2. The Subscribed Plans section displays the following details: Product Name, Customer Name, Status, Delivery Frequency and Actions.

  3. Use the Search Bar to locate a product by name.

  4. Use the Filter Options to refine the list based on delivery frequency or status.

  5. To remove a product from a subscription, click on the Cancel Subscription icon under the Actions tab.

  6. To view detailed subscription order information, click on the View icon under the Actions tab. The details include: Product Details, Customer Details, Upcoming Orders, Processed Subscriptions.

  7. In the Upcoming Orders section, the following details are available: Order Details, Shipment Type, Next Payment Date, Actions.

  8. Under the Actions section:

    • View Subscription Details: Click the View icon to view detailed subscription information.

    • Move to Order: Click the Move to Order icon to place an order for the customer’s preferred date.

    • Skip Order: Click the Skip Order icon if the customer wants to skip their next order.

  9. You can view the Moved Order and Skipped Order details in the Processed Subscriptions section by clicking the view icon under the Actions tab.

  10. Once an order is paid, processed, and delivered, customers can reschedule it if needed. To do so, the customer must upgrade their subscription plan.

    • Go to the Upcoming Orders section and click on the View icon.

    • Click the Reschedule button and select the New Delivery Date.

    • To apply the rescheduling to all upcoming orders, check the box for Do this for all upcoming orders.

    • Click Apply to confirm the changes.

Upcoming Orders List

  1. In the Product Subscription main menu, select the upcoming orders list submenu.

  2. The Upcoming Orders List displays details such as Order Details, Product Name, Customer Name, Shipment Type, Next Payment Date, and Actions.

  3. Use the Search Bar to locate a product by name.

  4. To place the order, click the Move to Order icon under the Actions tab.

  5. To skip the order, click the Skip Order icon under the Actions tab.
