Pay X get Free discounts help increase sales and encourage customers to buy more products by providing an extra incentive. It can also help clear out inventory for products that are not selling as quickly as desired.

These discounts also motivate customers to increase their purchase amount in order to avail of a complimentary product and thus exceed their original shopping plan.

Creating Discount

To enable this feature, Go to the Plugins menu. In Our Plugins, enable the Pay X Get Free feature. Now this feature is added as a sub-menu under the Discounts menu.

  1. Choose the Discounts menu and then select the Pay X Get Free sub-menu.

  2. Click on Add Discount button.

  3. Enter the basic information like Title, Description and Choose the Free Productfrom the drop down. Enable the Enable toggle to allow the customers to avail of the discounts.

  4. Enter the restriction value,Total usage limits(number of times promo code can be used), and the Usage limit per customer(number of times promo code can be used by a single customer) and the Minimum Purchase Amount.

  5. In the Schedule section, enter the dates between which the offer will remain valid. If the coupon needs to be valid for one day, give the same dates in both fields.

  6. In the Customer eligibility section, you can choose which type of customer these discounts will be applicable to. Discounts can be made available to all, certain customer groups, certain roles or certain customers.

  7. Finally, click the Save Discount button to save the changes.

Edit/view/Remove/Delete Discounts

  1. Choose the Discounts menu and then Pay X Get Free.

  2. Click on the edit icon to change existing offers.

  3. Click on the Time icon to view the discount history. It shows the discount details and every change made to the discount in the past.

  4. Click on the Close icon to deactivate the discount.

  5. Click on the Delete icon to remove the offer.

How does an offer work?

When there are active offers, the discounts are listed in the Shopping Cart section on the checkout page. For example, When a customer makes a purchase that reaches a specific subtotal, say, $100, he gets Gulab Jamun for free.
