Contacts are the customers who have accepted marketing and have shared their contact information, typically valid verified email addresses and phone no. They form the subscriber base for email campaigns. Contacts are stored and can be segmented based on various criteria for targeted communication. Effective contact management involves maintaining accurate information and engaging with contacts to build strong relationships.

Create a Contact

Generally all the store customers who satisfy the eligibility criteria of Accepting Marketing, Active Customer, Verified Email get listed on the Contacts.

To create a contact,

  1. In the Email Marketing menu select the Contacts sub-menu.

  2. Then click on Add Contact.

  3. In the General Information Tab, enter the Name, Email ID, Contact no.

  4. Select Tags from the Drop Down list.

  5. Click on the checkbox of Wholesale Customer if the customer added is a Wholesale customer and enter the required details.

  6. In the Permissions section, enable Accept Manual Order if orders are to be placed by the admin on behalf of the customers.

  7. The Accept Marketing toggle will remain enabled on a default basis. You can choose to accept email marketing and receive updates on our latest products, promotions, and exclusive offers by enabling or disabling it.

  8. Click Next.

  9. In the Residential Information Tab, enter the address and click on Add to enter more addresses, Click Save.

View and Manage Contact Details/Edit/Delete/View History.

The admin can search for a customer’s details by entering the customer’s name, or phone number in the search bar and view the details by clicking on the view(>) button against each customer’s name.

  1. In the Email Marketing menu, select the Contacts sub menu.

  2. It shows customers who have accepted marketing and have a valid verified email listed as contacts here.

  3. Enter the customer name or phone no in the search bar to search for particular contact details. Click on the search button.

  4. The contact list can be filtered by tags and type. Tags include all the created tags. Type includes Customer and Wholesale Customer.

  5. In the contacts list there is a set action that can be performed like edit contact, inactive (to deactivate contact), and view contact history.

  6. Click on the edit contact icon to update the general information including mapping single or multiple tags for the contact and contact information of the contact.

  7. Clicking on the Inactive icon makes a contact deactivated for the store and will remove it from the email marketing campaign.

  8. Click on the View Contact History icon to view the login details of the contact.

  9. Click on the three dots to View Orders, Reset Password and Remove Contact.

  10. Click on the View Orders option to view all the orders placed by that specific contact.

  11. Clicking on Reset Password will send a mail consisting of a “Reset password” link to reset their password.

  12. Click on the Remove Contact to delete the contact from the Store and email marketing permanently.

  13. Click on the Export icon. Choose from two options : Export all the data in the current page or Export all the data. Click on Start Export button to download the CSV file for future reference.

  14. To remove tags bulkly for the contacts, click on Filter, select the tags to be removed and click on Apply. All the contact which are associated with the tags are listed up,

  15. You can either Select all contacts or individual ones and click on the Remove Tag button and all the selected contacts will be removed and disassociated from the filtered tag.

  16. To add tags in bulk for the contact, click on Filter, select the No Tag type and click on Apply. All the contacts which has zero tags associated with it are listed up.

  17. You can either Select all contacts or individual ones and then click on the Add Tag button. Now select single or multiple tags and click on Save. And the selected tags will get mapped to the contacts selection done by you.

  18. If you wish to unsubscribe the contacts, choose the contacts and click on the Unsubscribe button and all the selected contacts will be unsubscribed and removed from the Email Marketing Contacts list successfully.

  19. Yet these contacts would remain store customers and can be found in the Customers list with the Accept Marketing option deactivated.
