After an order is placed, a customer may want to add, remove or change an item. Orders can be edited by the store admin or anyone who has the access to Edit Orders.

The admin can add items, remove an item or change the quantities of the items ordered. The total cost of an order change as the order is edited. If the cost of the order changes, then the cost difference can be charged or refunded from your customer.

Apart from editing orders, you can also change the

  • Shipping address (if the customer requests changes in the delivery address) and
  • Shipping Type

How to edit orders after an order is placed?

  1. In the Orders menu, click on the All Orders sub-menu.
  2. In the list of all orders, click on the eye icon against the order that you want to edit.

  3. You may find all the details of that particular order on this page.
  4. To start editing the order, change the Fulfilment Status to Processing.

    Note: The order cannot be canceled by the customer or the admin, once the order status is changed from ‘New’ to ‘Processing’.

  5. Now you may edit the number of products by clicking on the ‘-’ sign to reduce the quantity and the ‘+’ sign to increase the number of ordered items. You can even add a modifier, apply discount or delete the item from the order by clicking on the three dots.

  6. To add new products to the order, click on the + Add Items button. Click on the ‘+’ sign to add any product from the list. The product is added to the order. You can even search for a product, filter, or sort products.

How to edit the delivery address?

  1. In the Orders menu, click on the All Orders sub-menu.
  2. In the list of all orders, click on the eye icon against the order that you want to edit.
  3. In the customer details card, click on the edit icon near the Delivery Address to edit the delivery address of a customer. Edit the details in the pop-up and click update.

How to edit the Shipping type?

  1. In the Orders menu, click on the All Orders sub-menu.
  2. In the list of all orders, click on the eye icon against the order that you want to edit.
  3. To edit the shipping type after an order has been placed, click on the Edit button in the Shipping Type card at the bottom right of the order details page.

  4. In the pop-up, choose the shipping method and click Update.
